“I'VE LEARNED THAT PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU SAID,
PEOPLE WILL FORGET WHAT YOU DID, BUT PEOPLE WILL
NEVER FORGET HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.”
― MAYA ANGELOU
I'm a Midwest girl with big city dreams. You can probably find me
with a camera in one hand, and an iced coffee in the other.
Hello Beautiful! I'm Jayme - 36 year old wife, mom, and midwest photographer. I'm here to be your friend and biggest supporter as you enter the most memorable times of your life. I always strive to create a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience, while telling your story in the real, raw moments. How he looked at you on your wedding day, the pure joy of your children running in a field, the excitement following the announcement of your engagement, and real emotion captured right in front of my lens for you to cherish for the rest of your life!
So you are probably wondering, how this all started? Great! I'd love to share my journey with you. The very beginning was back in high school while taking a film photography course in 1998. I fell in love with the way you could be creative with composition. Then in 2008, I was laid off from a factory job, and that was the turning point. I decided to pursue my dreams to be a photographer, while working. It wasn't until 2015, that I went fully full-time, and I haven't looked back. I have been photographing weddings for 10 years, and portraits for 11.
I have a background in Business with a minor in Accounting. I attended college from 2010-2014, which would actually turn out to benefit my own business later. I'm a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and several other creative associations, and am fully insured with both equipment and liability policies. I try to offer advice and mentoring as much as I can to other creatives, in addition to working with the best couples and families that I could ever ask for! I truly love what I do, and hope that shines through in my work!

Jayme did an amazing job on our wedding videos! Who would’ve thought that there would be a snow storm in the middle of April? But she made it to the church just in time and even being rushed, was still able to capture our perfect ceremony! I was so excited when we got the flash drive, and there was even more on there than what I expected. She captured our whole ceremony, a short highlight video, and then a longer video. Exactly what I wanted! Cannot wait to look back on it for years to come!

I think we have bonded the most over the fact that we are both mamas, so we can relate easily to each other. I first met Alex two years ago while chatting in a photography group about our interests, and found out she was beginning her journey. Since then, she has second shot for me on several occasions and am excited to have her on board. Over the years, I have mentored newer photographers, and Alex was no exception - she was actually really grateful for the advice I have given her - we also work very well together. She has her own photography business, and focuses mostly on weddings and couples.
Being in the wedding industry, you come across some pretty incredible people! Maggie and I connected through another photographer friend, and basically chat all the time about life and photography/videography related topics. It’s uncanny how similar our styles are, that you can’t even tell the difference when I edit for the final gallery. I am excited to have her as an associate shooter this year, and hope to give her some amazing opportunities. Maggie has her own business with about 15 years experience (so pretty close to mine), she is very talented with artistic styling and her eye for detail - her favorites are weddings.
It’s like Kayla and I have the same personality - we both bring fun and goofy to the wedding day and just have our couples laughing all day long. It’s just the best! I met Kayla through a mutual friend, and we just kinda clicked from there. She is married, has a little boy, and a baby girl on the way. Kayla also has her own photography business where she enjoys weddings, couples, and boudoir mostly. She loves to get creative and also has a similar style to me, which is perfect to making the final images match for a great end result. I can’t wait to meet her baby girl this summer, and also work with her on some weddings.
I love the fact that you're so easy going! It made for the sessions to be less awkward and more personal. You can hold a conversation about anything, great people skills! My experience working with you was easy and stress free. You worked with me and took my opinion into consideration. You're good at what you do and you make your clients look great in their photographs!

of equipment and bring backups.
DO YOU CHARGE FEES FOR TRAVELING?
Travel to and from weddings and portrait sessions that are within the state
of Iowa, are always complimentary. Travel outside the state of Iowa, are on a per

Of course you can, and I'd be happy to! Just send me an inquiry, and ask
in your message, then I will send you links to 2-3 different galleries with a variety
of styles so that you can get a feel for what yours would look like from start to finish.
DO YOU HAVE A PREFERRED VENDOR LIST?
Sure do! I send out my preferred list of vendors out after each client books
their wedding with me. These are all people I have worked with professionally
at other weddings and highly recommend.
I'M READY TO BOOK, HOW DOES THAT PROCESS WORK?
Great! This is what I love to hear! To start the booking process, you'll send me an inquiry with the information I need.
